Creek / Pine Mt Road upgrade

Motorists are benefiting from improved safety after Brisbane City Council completed works to upgrade the busy Pine Mountain and Creek Roads intersection.

The project included extending right turn pockets on Creek Road, adding an extra lane on Pine Mountain Road and altering traffic signals to control right hand turns across the intersection.

Local Councillor Adrian Schrinner said the upgrade was prompted by a high accident record as well as congestion caused by inadequate turning lanes.

“Since the completion of roadworks, a number of residents have told me that the intersection is definitely working better,” Councillor Schrinner said.

Brisbane City Council is currently working to deliver 15 years worth of road upgrades in the current 4 year term to fight traffic congestion and improve safety across Brisbane.

This upgrade was provide with the support of the Commonwealth Government's Black Spot program.
